with soda ash. Traditional ornaments have been used in the embroidered designs.
The belt is made of leather

3.7. Scarf “Near and far”
Wool, 2026
4500 €
The finished product is created for people who appreciate uniqueness and quality. The scarf is made on a jacquard loom with a fine woollen warp and two shuttles of 100% wool and wool-and-elastane blend yarn.
The idea is based on light through the branches of a spruce - the scarf brings it close, but the branches are far away in height. A piece of sky can be seen through the branches.
Like the bark of a tree that protects a tree from the outside. A scarf protects a person from the outside. The pattern is barely visible, like bark from a distance, but it is there, holding you close and around.

3.14. ONCE
Silk, dried plant, ink marker, 2025
60 € each
Plants drawn with an ink pen and dried, together with silk dyed using the plants, help bring nature back into our everyday lives. Plants and nature have always been a natural part of human life, a connection that has gradually grown weaker over time. These works carry within them old knowledge and traditions through which people once knew about the use of plants and invite us to reconnect with nature again.

3.15. MEMORIES
Cyanotype (sun-print) technique on cotton fabric, 2025
70 € each
The special composition of green and red iron salts makes it possible to capture images of summer plants on cotton fabric. In this way, the fabric preserves the warmth, light and cherished memories of summer, bringing them back into view during the dark winter months.

3.16. BARK
Sketch for scarf "Near and Far"
Ink marker on paper, 2026
60 eur

3.17. BLEAK
Wool, used strings, 2026
1545 €

The work “Bleak” (2026) unites used strings of classical instruments and natural wool yarn. A string of an instrument as an object is a human-made product – cold, strong, rigid in its own way and smooth. Wool yarn is natural, warm, also a bit harsh and sustainable. Although this pair of materials might seem rather far from each other’s essence, they have one thing in common. They both carry a unique and untraceable emotion – with a very specific human touch, it is possible to make a string to bring us timeless musical moments. In the same way, the wool that is in the hands of a
skilful master may transfer to a warmth, so necessary to provide us comfort during cold and bleak.
This kind of dialogue between the pair of materials can create controversial emotions. Used instrument strings end up as trash. Even though this material might have been a part of outstanding moments where words are not enough to describe how a human being can sense the feeling of musical ecstasy, it still becomes trash. According to my knowledge (also during my professional career as a viola player), there are no initiatives to reuse instrument strings. There might be some exceptions regarding factories that collect strings to use a small amount of material, but it is still a drop in the ocean. So it might be that a used string is part of all the other waste that is suddenly under your boot when walking on the late-autumn beach, decorated with our irresponsibility so visible after November storms.
Combining instrument strings with natural sheep wool yarn inspires me to think that perhaps we should think about how to appreciate the emotions and warmth these materials provide. Maybe it is one of the ways to remind us that the unimaginable amount of waste we leave behind can be smaller if we are not reckless. And maybe it is easier to be responsible when we see the links between the emotions that shape our way of being and materials that helped to bring all that to us. We know a lot about greed; we know a lot about our conveniences not making it all easier.
Nevertheless, our emotions can make our footprints visible. Yes, we switched from natural to synthetics (also in producing strings), it is all the same – economically reasonable, more efficient (and profitable, of course). But what if we see how this used material is not a part of waste but a unique impression of our emotions?
“Bleak” melts together today’s waste, natural materials and an invisible set of emotions that are still there if we care to see. Do we care?

3.18. Experimental dress PORTAL

PORTAL as a circle. A circle symbolises perfect harmony and balance. In feng shui, infinity, wholeness and cyclical movement. Also sleep has its own specific cycle.
According to the beliefs of Siberian people, sleep is a state of transition from one world to another. So sleep is like entering a portal through which it is possible to move between different worlds.
